What Does H.I.S. Mean?

His is the possessive of he. Who is He? To whom do we belong?

Many years ago I, Yvonne Hudson, repented of my sins and asked God for forgiveness. It is through the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ that there is peace between God and me. Jesus is not only my Savior but he is also my Lord. After all, I was purchased at a great price. The Bible tells me that nothing can separate me from God’s love.

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:37-39
For none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself. For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. For to this end Christ died and rose and lived again, that He might be Lord of both the dead and the living. Romans 14:7-9
